Smoked Paprika Tofu Sandwich

I came up with this sandwich for today’s lunch and simply loved the way it came out. The combination of spices, particularly the smoked paprika, set this sandwich apart.


1 lb firm tofu, cut into 1/4” thick slices

2 Tbsp vegetable oil

1 tsp cumin

1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

2 tsp Bragg’s Liquid Aminos

Fresh spinach

Plant based cheese

Vegenaise

Sliced bread


Heat vegetable oil in skillet. Add cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and Bragg’s. Mix well and add tofu slices. Cook on each side for 3-5 minutes.

Toast the sliced bread and spread a thin layer of vegenaise on each slice. Next, spread a layer of fresh spinach on each slice. Add 2-3 slices of cooked tofu and top with plant based cheese. Close the sandwich and serve while tofu is hot.
